Experimental Still Life Art
By Jeni
Painting still life art is all about listening to my inner voice and letting it speak through the language of the material world and it’s objects. Just like matter, my private life can be mute and without expression. In still life painting I am able to allow color and form to mirror the existence of my silent conscience. There is a complex relationship of safety and trust that I experience in this type of painting, I experiment with letting my work speak through the contrast and patterns of life that don’t involve verbal language. Instead I generate work that gives power to the vessel or flower or other object to emulate my world.
